What do you do if you have to be in the waiting list for two years before you get into the nursing program?

Since there is such a shortage of nurses apply somewhere else. Some nursing school should snatch you up.

try and apply at a different school. not all of them have a waiting list. if you cannot, get a job as a tech, that way you will still be doing a job related to nursing while you wait. a lot of hospitals have ways of getting you in quicker. the schools usually have spots available to hospital employees, and most hospitals will pay for your schooling if you sign a contract with them. good luck.

my school is not admitting for the nursing program till 2009…so i feel you all the way. I am just gonna finish my AS then transfer to a 4 year school and get my BSN instead of waiting. That maybe your best option.
